Young People in Lane Cove

Young people are the future of Lane Cove. At Council, we want to make sure this future is a bright one. To achieve this, we provide programs, events, and engagement opportunities for young people who live, work, or study in Lane Cove. Our programs and initiatives are designed to help young people stay connected, feel supported, and have their voices heard. 

Synergy Youth Centre

A place for young people in Lane Cove. 

Synergy Youth Centre is a free drop-in space where young people can go to hang-out, seek information about support services or participate in programmed activities. No registration or booking required. 

Two qualified Youth Workers are on site during opening hours to provide guidance and support for young people. Youth workers can make appropriate referrals to other services or can arrange for other service providers to meet young people at the Centre.

• Friday 3:00pm - 8:00pm

Synergy Youth Centre, 8 Little Street, Lane Cove (under the Lane Cove Aquatic and Leisure Centre grandstand).

Synergy Term 2 Program

Tuesday - Workshops 

We run a variety of practical and educational workshops which promote life skills, provide helpful tools for young people dealing with daily challenges, and encourage creativity.

Wednesday - BBQ and Chill 

Come to Synergy on a Wednesday, enjoy a free BBQ and chill out with your friends and the youth workers.

Thursday - Challenge Yourself 

Thursday is games day. Come to the Youth Centre and test your skills with video games, board games, cooking competitions, sports competitions and more.

Friday - Cook-Up 

Friday Cook-Up is a well-established tradition at Synergy Youth Centre. Share your favourite recipe with friends or learn how to cook something new. 

Saturday - Saturday Screens 

Chill out and watch your favourite films on a Saturday.

All-Abilities Karaoke - Synergy Youth Centre

Join us at Synergy Youth Centre for an All-Abilities Karaoke session in celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

Arts & Finds Market

Synergy Youth Centre is thrilled to unveil an exciting new addition to the Lane Cove Festival - the 'Arts & Finds' Market! This vibrant event is set to become a cornerstone of our community celebration, showcasing the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of our local youth.

Second Saturday each month, 2:00pm.

Childrens Voices for Reconciliation

This event takes place during Reconciliation Week each year.
Enjoy free performances by schools celebrating Reconciliation and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders culture and heritage.
