Entries will be accepted between 9:30am Monday 16 September 2024 and 8:59pm Monday 28 October 2024.
Entries must be the original work of one artist, respond to the theme of Greenwich Library’s 60th birthday, and be created in any 2D medium using the canvas supplied by Lane Cove Library.
TO ENTER: Entrants must hand in their entries to either Lane Cove Library, Greenwich Library, St Leonards Library or The Yarn, Hunters Hill.
Three winners will be selected by a panel of judges from each from the following categories: Category 1: Children aged 3 to 6 years, Category 2: Children aged 7 to 9 years, and Category 3: Children aged 10 to 14 years, providing they meet the eligibility criteria. Nine Winners in total will each receive an art pack. Total prize money = $360.
Each submission is considered one entry. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted. Individuals must have a current Shorelink Library membership for registration.
Participants own the copyright of their submission. In entering the competition, the participant gives Lane Cove Council authority to reproduce, publish, communicate or display the work online (including social media), in presentations, videos, publications and, if selected, for public display at various venues.
Where possible, entrants will be credited with the image of their submission when they are used, however this is not guaranteed.
Artists will be notified by phone if their artwork is chosen to display. The selected artworks will be displayed at Greenwich Library during November 2024.
The winners will be announced at 11:00am on Saturday 2 November 2024 at Greenwich Library.
