Discover Lane Cove’s newest venue – the Pottery Lane Performance Space!
The Pottery Lane Performance Space is now complete and will soon host its first performance, offering a vibrant new venue for creativity, collaboration, and cultural enrichment in the heart of Lane Cove.
As a multifunctional performance space, Lane Cove now has a home for local talent and visiting acts, fostering a dynamic program of events that celebrates the rich cultural life of our community. With its versatile features, the stage is set to support a diverse range of performances - from theatre, to acoustic concerts, and cinematic events. Whether you're an avid theatre-goer, a budding performer, or simply love to support the arts, the performance space intends to offer a program with something for everyone.
Over the coming months a range of performances will be held in the venue to trial the space before it is officially launched – we hope you can join us!
First performance - Are You Pulling My Leg?
Are You Pulling My Leg tour comes to Lane Cove showcasing some of Australia’s funniest comedians with disability. In celebration of International Day of People with Disability, Lane Cove Council presents a stand-up comedy show featuring Australia’s funniest comedians from the Are You Pulling My Leg? tour. Showcasing some of Australia’s funniest comedians with disability or chronic illness, this raucous accessible comedy event boasts a line-up of award-winning performers with entertaining and uncensored insights into disability. Adults Only. Ticket price includes canapés and drink on arrival.
Headliner:
Alexandra Hudson offers witty insights into life as a disabled woman navigating a mostly non-disabled world. A joint winner of the 2022 Raw Comedy National Final at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, she has performed in So You Think You’re Funny (Edinburgh Fringe 2022) and Comedy Zone (MICF 2023). In 2024, Alexandra debuted her solo show, Making Lemonade, and continues to perform across Australia.
