Sporting Club Advisory Committee

This Committee provides advice to the General Manager on sports and recreation within Lane Cove.

The Sporting Club Advisory Committee has an important role in advising Council, on behalf of the many sports participants, families and sports associations, on the managing and provisioning of sporting and recreational facilities in the Local Government Area. The Committee provides input and supports implementation of Council's Open Space Plan.

The Committee comprises of:

  • One representative from each sporting club using the Lane Cove Council sporting facilities.  These sports include, but are not limited to, AFL, Netball, Cricket, Rugby League, Rugby Union and Football.
  • One Councillor and one alternate Councillor 
  • Appropriate Council staff.
