What to expect on an activity

Activities are held at local bushland parks or reserves:

  • Blackman Park
  • Tambourine Bay Park
  • Stringybark Reserve
  • Gore Creek Reserve

On each activity there is a bush walk on unsealed tracks and usually a craft activity and storytelling. 

Activity duration is from 1 to 1.5 hours and starts at 9:45am and usually finishes at 11:15am. 

Activities are held on different days of the week from Tuesday to Friday.

The program encourages participants to connect with the natural world around us and are for both children (age 2 to 12 years) and adults.

Bookings and tickets are essential for both adults and children. This can be done by clicking on the individual activity booking links.  Program activities with links to Eventbrite are listed once on sale.

Cost $10.85 per child, no charge for adults (but an adult ticket is required)

Refunds up to seven (7) days prior to activity.

Bush Kids Activities 

Footwear on activities

It is recommended that participants wear closed-in shoes, such as runners.  All activities involve a bush walk on unsealed bushland tracks. The track can sometimes be slippery and biting ants may be present.

Inclement Weather

If an activity needs to be cancelled, participants will receive a text message on the morning of the activity.

If you or your child are ill, cancel your booking and send a message of cancellation to bushkids@lanecove.nsw.gov.au
