Join us at this free film festival event to celebrate the Lane Cove Weaving Climate Stories project & showcase the inspiring short films.

Join us for a free film festival event showcasing powerful short films created by local filmmakers, each exploring the urgent theme of climate change. This event is the culmination of the Lane Cove Weaving Climate Stories project, which has provided a unique platform for storytellers in our community.

MC’d by Luke Carroll! Luke is a regular host of the Australian Children's Television Show Play School & a regular presenter on Channel 7's Sydney Weekender. He is an actor, television personality, podcaster and MC and has appeared in several feature films & television shows as well as numerous theatre productions over the last 3 decades.

Before the films, explore interactive stalls hosted by Council teams, sustainability groups, and local organisations offering activities and information on climate action. You’ll also have the chance to view the community art piece constructed by Dr. Virginia Keft and participants from the eight Weaving & Yarning workshops, symbolising our shared connection to culture and country.

Seating: this is a picnic-style event so please bring along picnic blankets or low chairs. Please note: any large picnic chairs will be placed at the back of the event space. This event is weather dependent.

This event is the concluding part of the Weaving Climate Stories Project. Check out the website for more information of what we have done.
