The Chatty Cafe initiative, designed to tackle loneliness and social isolation by encouraging locals to sit and have a chat, will be officially launched in Lane Cove by Mayor Merri Southwood at two locations on Tuesday 8 April.
The Chatty Bench at Lane Cove Plaza, will be located on the raised area near the large tree. This permanent fixture is a friendly spot for both locals and visitors to take a seat, strike up a conversation and build connections promoting healthier, happier communities. Look out for the yellow bench and the signage.
