Lane Cove Community Hub - Pottery Lane Performance Space

The Pottery Lane Performance Space (PLPS) is a newly designed, state-of-the-art multifunctional venue (Walkthrough Video link). Situated in the heart of Lane Cove, this vibrant addition aims to foster creativity, collaboration, and cultural enrichment for the community.

Equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology, the space features a high-definition digital screen, cinema-quality projection equipment, programmable stage lighting, and partially tiered seating for up to 135 people. These versatile features make it ideal for a wide variety of events, including theatre productions, workshops, presentations, music performances, cabaret, cinematic screenings, and more.

Other types of events:

For smaller meetings, such as those for Strata and similar groups. The front of the room or the stage area can be used for meeting setups, however, please note that there will be no support provided with the room setup, which typically takes around 2-3 hours. The hirer will be responsible for managing the setup and ensuring the room is restored to its original configuration at the end of the hire period. Additionally, setup time will need to be factored into the hire costs.

The space is not suitable for large standing events, as the theatre seating will remain in place and cannot be moved.

The venue has a commercial kitchen adjoining and catering available with exclusive rights to Bern the Chef Pty Ltd, telephone 0402 092 574. The per hour cost is from $79 as per Councils Fees and Charges which can be found in the popular documents page of our website. Commercial rates apply for businesses.

There are approximately 200 car spaces in the Council Car Park available at this location for hirers and visitors (entry via Little Street, 3 hours free parking).

The Pottery Lane Performance Space is available for hire 7 days a week, from 7.00am - 11:30pm, Monday to Sunday. Music must also stop at 11:30pm.

The following maximum occupancy level applies to the balcony.

6pm-10pm 70 people

10pm - 11.30pm 36 people
