Apply for Residential, Visitor, Senior and Business Parking Permits online.

Residential Parking Permits

Residential Parking Permits are available to residents who live on a street where a Residential & Visitor Parking Scheme exists.

The Council has a zone system for Resident and Visitor parking permit holders. 

Permit holders may only use their permits on any street within their zone where the signage states 'Permit Holders Excepted Zone (number)', for longer than the hourly restrictions on the sign. See Parking Scheme Map.

The Conditions of the Residential and Visitor Parking Permit Scheme, such as eligibility criteria and required supporting documents, are provided in the Parking Permits Procedure.

NEW Resident Parking Permit Applications

Residents can apply for a new Resident Parking Permit online.

Alternatively a Resident Parking Permit Application and supporting documents can be emailed to Council.

EXISTING Resident Parking Permit Holders

If there are no changes to the parking arrangements at your property within the last 12 months, apply for a Residential Parking Permit online and select Renewal option. 

Alternatively a Resident Parking RENEWAL Permit Application can be emailed to Council. 

If there have been changes to the parking arrangements, such as a change of vehicle, residents are required to complete a NEW Resident Parking Permit Application (refer to above). 

Visitor Parking Permits

Visitor Parking Permits are available to residents who live at a property within the Residential & Visitor Parking Scheme.

 There are 2 types of Visitor Parking Permits:

  • Quarterly Permit (valid 3 months from the date of issue)
  • Annual Permit (valid 12 months from the date of issue)

Residents can apply for a Visitor Parking Permit online.

Alternatively residents can email a completed Visitor Parking Permit Application with a copy of their drivers licence to Council.

Seniors Parking Permits

Seniors Parking Permits are valid ONLY in designated 'Seniors Parking' car spaces within Lane Cove Council car parks. These permits are not valid for parking in 'Disabled' car spaces.

To be eligible for a free two year Seniors Permit, residents must be;

  • A Lane Cove resident;
  • Over 67 years of age; and
  • Hold a current drivers licence.

The Conditions of the Seniors Parking Permit Scheme are provided in the Parking Permits Procedure.

Residents can apply for a Seniors Parking Permit online.

Alternatively residents can email a completed Seniors Parking Permit Application and a copy of their drivers licence to Council.

*Please Note: If reapplying for a Seniors Parking Permit, please only submit your application 2 weeks before your existing Permit expires. 

Business Parking Permits

This scheme allows unlimited and unrestricted use of P4 of The Canopy car park, seven days-a-week. Spaces are limited.
 
To be eligible for a Business Parking Permit, the Applicant must operate a business permanently located in the Lane Cove town centre or is a staff member of that business. Please refer to the shaded areas in the Business Parking Centre map to check whether your business is eligible.
